Faculty Positions in Computational Neuroscience at the Institute of Neuroscience in Shangai

The Key Laboratory of Brain Cognition and Brain-inspired instelligence (KLBI), part of the Center for Excellence in Brain Science and Intelligence Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (formerly known as the Institute of Neuroscience, ION) is dedicated to advancing our understanding of brain intelligence and developing brain-inspired methodologies. We are currently recruiting exceptional talent for the positions of Principal Investigators (equivalent to assistant, associate, or full professor) to join us.

Research Areas

We are particularly interested in candidates specializing in Theoretical and Computational Neuroscience, including but not limited to:

  • Neural network models and their dynamics
  • Data-driven computational neuroscience
  • Multi-scale neural modeling of higher cognitive functions
  • Normative approaches in neuroscience

Qualifications

  1. A Ph.D. degree or equivalent training, with with notable research achievements in computational neuroscience, mathematics, physics, computer science, or related fields;
  2. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within interdisciplinary research teams;
  3. Scholarly qualities conductive to teaching and mentoring doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows.
