Católica Biomedical Research Centre (CBR, Universidade Católica Portuguesa) hereby announces the opening of an international call for applicants for the post of Science Manager.

The research activities will be carried out at the CBR, currently installed at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência Campus, Rua da Quinta Grande 6, Oeiras.

The position is open within the framework of the ERA Chair project “CBeRa: Strategic Integration of Complex Networks and Systems for Advancing Biomedical Research” (GA 101186558, HORIZON-WIDERA-2023-TALENTS-01), funded by the European Commission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the implementation of project tasks, liaise with work package leaders, and ensure adherence to the project timeline.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and collaborators.
  • Organize project events and activities.
  • Plan and execute the project’s dissemination and communication strategies.
  • Prepare reports and coordinate with institutional management teams.
  • Act as a liaison with the European Commission.

Requirements

Research Field: Biological sciences

Education Level: PhD or equivalent

Skills/Qualifications

  • PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Data Science, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Experience in organizing scientific meetings and training sessions.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Experience with European Commission-funded projects is a plus.

Additional Information

Benefits: Gross Monthly pay is 2.439,21€, plus meal allowance, to which will be added annual leave and Christmas allowances.
